Natural light portraits

Natural light creates a more authentic atmosphere than a traditional photo studio. It encourages spontaneous expression and a genuine presence. Whether outdoors or in your professional spaces, it reveals a vibrant, elegant, and deeply human image. Together, we’ll choose the location that best suits your business: a Haussmann-style facade, a terrace, a glass-enclosed lobby, or a workshop.

The two approaches serve different visual purposes. Natural light is soft, dynamic, and more accessible: it creates a warm, personal look, ideal for sales professionals, startup founders, consultants, or executives who want a less formal look. In contrast, studio portraits offer complete control over the background and framing: this is the preferred option for institutional communications.

Choose times when the light is soft: between 8 and 10 a.m. or late afternoon (4–6 p.m. in winter, 6–8 p.m. in summer). Midday sunlight creates harsh shadows and difficult contrasts. A slightly cloudy sky is often ideal: it diffuses natural light and flatters faces.

Choosing the venue: For an executive, a Haussmann-style facade, a corporate plaza, a terrace with a view, or the lobby of a grand hotel. For a creative professional, a studio, a coworking space, or an industrial wasteland. For a consultant or lawyer, a literary café, a library, or a well-lit office. The setting should reinforce the message without competing with it.

Technique: Fixed lenses for high-quality results, with a wide aperture that separates the subject from the background. For indoor sessions, we position ourselves near a large north- or east-facing window. Portable reflectors are used to soften harsh shadows.
